Vale - Brazilian government charges debt of approximately R$ 4 billion

According to publishments in the media, Brazilian federal government is collecting a debt Vale for irregularities in the payment of royalties which, according to government claims, would amount to approximately R$ 4 billion. DNPM (National Bureau of Mineral Production) request in the justice that the company pay R$ 3 billion for exploration of iron ore in the state of Minas Gerais and R$ 900 million for mining in the state of Pará.
In the light of this discussion, on fev/25 DNPM in Pará opened a process for cancellation of Vale's concession in Carajás, claiming irregularity in the base used by the mining company to collect royalties.
